For more than a century, St. Sebastian Parish has been a beacon of spiritual and social development for Milwaukee’s Washington Heights area and neighboring Wauwatosa. With an award-winning school, active parish community and beautiful campus, it provides a welcoming home for all. The parish recently celebrated its 100th anniversary, is completing several capital projects and will be welcoming new pastoral leadership in the next year. The school recently received the Archdiocese of Milwaukee’s top award for “Educating the Whole Child,” received the high score of 89.5 “significantly exceeds expectations” on the annual state report card and continues to provide a diverse and rich education to students from 23 zip codes across the Milwaukee area.
This new position reflects an exciting time in St. Sebastian’s history. The development director will have the opportunity to build on the momentum of the parish and school’s reputation of excellence, large and committed alumni base, and active parish and school volunteers, and growing school foundation. The development director will be responsible for building and executing a fundraising plan that supports St. Sebastian parish, school and foundation.
The development director reports to the Pastor and works closely with the principal in supporting the work of the school and the cluster administrator in supporting the work of the school foundation and the parish. The position includes some marketing responsibilities as well. The full-time position will require participation in pastoral staff meetings, as well as pastoral and finance council and school and stewardship committee meetings, as needed.
