On Sunday, August 4, we will celebrate a special cluster mass at St. Sebastian at 10:00 a.m. Our musical guests will be the choir and instrumentalists of the National Youth Wind Orchestra of Luxembourg, a near-professional-quality young ensemble. This is the same group that joined us for a mass in August 2015. The musicians will perform several selections within the mass and a couple more afterward as a brief postlude concert. Please come to this special mass and support these fine young musicians!

The young musicians from Luxembourg will also play a concert that Sunday evening, August 4 at 7:15 pm at Pius XI Catholic High School. The ensemble will perform wind & percussion music from around the world and sing some regional folk music in the impressive, modern theater at the Pius Performing Arts Center.  Please come and support these musical ambassadors!

St. Catherine music director Doug Scott also urgently needs to sign up more local host families and/or drivers for our guests that weekend. The group arrives early Saturday evening, August 3 and leaves Tuesday morning, August 6. They have a group day-trip planned for Monday, and hosts do not need to come along, allowing them to work that day. The group members are all fluent in English, German and French, and the hosting experience can be richly rewarding for families with kids or for single people, and everyone in between! For more information, please contact Doug at dscott@saintcatherine.org or 414-614-2235. You can host even if you’re not free the whole time, and you can also help out as a day-time driver only.

Please pass this message along to any individuals or groups who you think might be able to help. Many thanks from Doug and from our musical guests!
