Saint Sebastian Parish and School has determined it is best for our community to close for at minimum, the next two weeks, from Monday, March 16 – Friday, March 27.
We will inform you by email blast on Wednesday, March 25, as to whether our campus will re-open the following week.
SUNDAY MASS – We will still be celebrating Mass at the usual times on Sundays, unless otherwise communicated from the parish.
The Archbishop has given dispensation for the upcoming three Sundays, should your families choose not to attend. See his announcement HERE. Sunday Mass is available on the radio at 9 a.m. Sunday mornings on Radio 920 AM W.O.L.F. and on broadcast television on WVTV My24 at 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. and on WITI Fox 6 at 5:30 a.m.
WEEKDAY MASS AND COMMUNION SERVICES – We will be canceling all these through Friday March 27 and will reevaluate again on March 25.
PAL CHILDCARE – Will be closed the same as the school dates above, and information will also be communicated on Wednesdays for the following week’s status.
ACTIVITIES & EVENTS – All activities and events are cancelled through at least April 1st. This includes Faith Formation, Sports, Scouts, Forensics, Trivia Night, Cabaret, etc.
FISH FRY – Cancelled through March 27.
FACILITY CLEANLINESS – The school and parish will be thoroughly wiped down, disinfected, and cleaned while all students and employees are out these next two weeks.
STAFF PLANNING – All staff will report Monday and Tuesday of next week to further plan for this extended closure.
Finally, please know this decision comes very thoughtfully and intentionally by the following individuals:
– Father Peter Patrick Pastor
– Heather Grams, Principal
– Carole Poth, Cluster Administrator
– Joann Perleberg, Finance Director
– Frank Maloney, PAL Director (before/after school care)
– Bryan Kirkpatrick, Maintenance Director
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause parishioners, while trust you understand our concern is first and foremost the safety and well-being of our community.
