Pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
As we remain Safer at Home, St. Sebastian and St. Catherine parishes are offering an alternative way for us to pray as a community for one another and our loved ones. We have created fabric prayer walls at both parishes and invite you to request prayers there – similar to how our prayer books and prayer boards in the church.
- The St. Sebastian prayer wall is located outside the church in the prayer garden facing Washington Blvd. You are invited to view or contribute any time.
- The St. Catherine prayer wall is located inside the church. Come to the parish office between 9 a.m. and noon for viewing or contributing to it.
Each prayer wall is fashioned so that parishioners can use or add ribbons to the hanging fabrics. Names or prayers of any kind are welcomed to be pinned onto this prayer wall. Together we will create a collage of prayers.
You can add information in person, or send the names of those in need of prayer or special intentions through email, and staff will be happy to add your prayers to the walls.
A note regarding safety: Each prayer wall will be disinfected after every use. We ask that you use hand sanitizer at the site prior to adding a ribbon. There are ribbons at each site, but please bring your own marker. You may bring ribbons of your own as well.
We encourage you to keep our community in your prayers. Let us pray for one another earnestly, as we know there is great power in those prayers. Join us in calling to mind these prayer walls, lifting up the names to God.
