Parishioners of St. Sebastian and St. Catherine, let’s mark the first Sunday of the month with a safe and sacred social action!
Join parishioners and neighbors by meeting at the Hawley/Vliet “Kneel for Nine” at 3pm (we take a knee for 9 minutes starting at 3 and ending at 3:09). In total this vigil takes only about a quarter hour!
Do you need a sign? You may order a 18×24 St. Sebs/St. Cates “Stand Against Racism” weather proof sign, designed by Marlene Vidal, from Gietl Sign Company: 5300 W Vliet St, Milwaukee, WI 53208, (414) 774-4690
Cost: Two-sided = $16; One Sided = $10.
You don’t need to bring a sign (or kneel) to participate. Several people stand if they are unable to kneel. As the description below of Kneel for Nine describes, it’s your presence and solidarity that is most important.
We hope you will join us, rain, sleet or snow, every FIRST SUNDAY of the month. This event is sponsored by the St. Sebastian and St. Catherine Facing Racism Group.
