Faith Formation – catechesis, prayer, and service – is a life-long response to Baptism.  St. Sebastian offers a variety of approaches to Faith Formation for our children through high school.

Faith Formation Classes

Basic Faith Formation for children involves age-specific classes from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. on two Sunday mornings each month. The program involves scripture-centered catechetical education, supplemental materials for students to take faith home, regular opportunities for prayer and service to others and other special programs. Classes are scheduled to facilitate family participation in one of our Sunday morning liturgies. Download our 2018-19 Handbook.

In addition to our children’s classes, we support the life-long nature of faith formation by offering a regular series of adult formation sessions during the time children and youth are in class. We also present intergenerational formation programs four times a year.

Sacramental Preparation

In addition to our Faith Formation classes, we offer family-centered preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist and teen-centered preparation for Confirmation. If you have a student who will be celebrating Reconciliation, First Eucharist, or Confirmation please be aware of the separate registrations and schedules.
