We have a great team of volunteers to pull the Winter Farmer’s Market and Brunch event together – and we need more! Opportunities for many ages – Middle school children can help distribute drinks or bus tables. Adults and high school children can help farmers set up and take down their displays, make applesauce, help with food and hall preparation on Saturday, or help in the kitchen or clean up the hall on Sunday, Anyone can volunteer then bring their family and friends to enjoy the delicious meal they helped prepare and meet the farmers who supplied the ingredients. The St Sebastian stewardship portal is the preferred method to register to volunteer.

Here are some of the ways you can help:
1 – Help prepare meal on Saturday, February 29th. Details: Under supervision of Allen Miller/Rhonda VanPembrook help prepare some menu items. Basic cooking experience needed. Please bring a hat, scarf or handkerchief to cover hair. Location church hall kitchen. Any time between 9am-5pm.
2 – Kitchen clean up on Saturday, February 29th. Details: Under supervision of Allen Miller/Rhonda VanPembrook help clean kitchen and wash dishes towards the end of Saturday prep. Location church hall kitchen. Any time between 12-4pm.
3 – Help set up church hall on Saturday, February 29th. Details: Under supervision of Mark Sherwin/Rhonda VanPembrook, assist with moving tables to desired locations for farmer exhibits and diners. Also assist with decorating tables and putting up signs. Time 1:00pm-4:00pm.
4 – Help farmers unload goods and set up exhibits on Sunday, March 1st. Details: Watch for farmers/vendors arriving at the 54th Street entrance, welcome them and offer assistance unloading their goods. Need to be at St. Sebs church hall by 7:15am on Sunday, March 1st. Expect to be done by 8:45.
5 – Help farmers pack up and load goods after event is done on Sunday, March 1st. Details: Assist farmers with packing up their goods and delivering to vehicles. Time frame is 1:00pm to 2:00 pm on Sunday, March 1st.
6 – Help serve food (cafeteria style) on Sunday, March 31st. Two shifts. Details: Under supervision of Rhonda VanPembrook serve a menu item to diners as they pass through the meal line and alert kitchen help if item is running low. Hair covering required. FIRST SHIFT – 8:45am to 10:30am. SECOND SHIFT – 10:15am to 12:30pm.
7 – General kitchen help on Sunday, March 1st. Two Shifts. Details: Under supervision of Allen Miller and Rhonda VanPembrook help cook, replenish food on food line, hand wash pots and pans, whatever else needs to be done. FIRST SHIFT – 7:30am to 9:45am. SECOND SHIFT – 9:30am to 12:30pm.
8 – Help bus tables, operate industrial dish washer, restock or put away plates, etc. on Sunday, March 1st. Two shifts. Details: FIRST SHIFT – 8:00am to 10:30am. SECOND SHIFT – 10:15am to 1:00pm.
9 – Clean up church hall on Sunday, March 1st. Details: Under supervision of Mark Sherwin help return tables and chairs to designated areas, take down signs, sweep floor, etc. Time frame is 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, March 1st.
