St. Sebastian Parish Auction: Thank You!
Like many parishes and non-profits this year, this auction was our first attempt at a virtual fundraising event. We are grateful to the exuberant bidders, cash donors, and sponsors who made this auction successful in reaching our goal. We raised over $35,000 for the St. Sebastian community!
The committee was unsure of how pivoting to an online event would be received. But, the Sebs spirit proved truly alive with 219 people signing up to place 1,565 individual bids throughout the weeklong online auction. The item Sugar Cookies by the Dozen drew the most active bidding with 82 bids. The top three items drawing the highest bids were the MacBook Air, the Room Painting Opportunity, and Broken Bat Brewery Fun. One of the most humbling attributes of the event was that nearly every one of our parish ministries played a role in this year’s auction. Our parishioners are amazing – thank you to all who tuned in for the finale event and responded generously.
Mountains of thanks to our Auction Committee: Joe Cayen, Jo Ann Stasiewicz, Rose Ryan, Maggie Sherwin, Amy Schreiner, Nate Ragatz, Patrick Schley and Marilyn McGair. Their dedication to the parish made this event successful!
Also, the Human Concerns Committee collected 175 items for the St. Vincent DePaul ministry in their Food Drives on February 7, 14 and 17. Thank you!
