The Eucharist brings us together with others – young and old, poor and affluent, neighbors and visitors.  The Eucharist calls us to see all of them as our brothers and sisters, and to see in them the face of Christ. – Pope Francis

As Catholics, we believe that the Eucharist, both the consecrated bread (host) and consecrated wine is the real presence of Jesus Christ. St. Sebastian offers both as most churches do, in order to experience the fullness of Christ’s sacramental presence in our lives.

For Children

First Eucharist follows First Reconciliation; generally both are received when students are in 2nd grade. Children must already be baptized, participate in religion classes (either in school or faith formation) for at least one year before and immediately prior to the sacramental year. As with First Reconciliation, preparation includes parent/child meetings and a parent/child retreat.
